Analysis of His Majesty, the Emperor's speech
HH Emily: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this is a analysis of His Majesty, the Emperor's speech, that will be posted in SINA at it's conclusion. Tonight, I have my journalistic partner HH Amparo of Pasos y Perez to go over tonight's speech with me. Tonight we are on the atteran-nations.com chat channel, and this is the first of many political talks that will be covered by SINA.
HH Emily: Lady Amparo, Thank you for coming! For starters, I think that Emperor Mik'el Tzion, really drove home the point that he wants Great Attera to get back into the Intermicronational community, but on Atteran terms.
HH Amparo: Yes, I agree. I was impressed with his speech, and actually moved by it a bit.
HH Emily: What impressed you the most?
HH Amparo: Well, I liked the way he went from the origin of the issue starting with the Exodus of the Nobles in the early part of 2005 all the way up until the present day. He does exhibit a certain historical flair doesn't he?
HH Emily: He does, and while many feel that he actually hated the Yonatan Tzion Yaqob government, you can see that he actually doesn't. He just points out that they were wrong for being rebellious, not going against his viewpoint. This was a definite twist on something that many of us felt.
HH Amparo: Actually, in private conversations with him, he has a bit of continued loyalty to them still, as he never took any of their actions personal.
HH Emily: You mean to tell me that he doesn't take what they did personal?
HH Amparo: No, he doesn't. He told me that there were errors on both sides where there really were no choices for either group. They jumped, then he jumped back at them, then took advantage of them by outlasting them. It was that simple.
HH Emily: On the issue of the Open Borders question, the Emperor really has been taking some serious criticism from both camps, but has held firm and convinced that his "third option" was best.
HH Amparo: I didn't agree with him at first, but now after looking at it from his position, again, he has no choice, as he cannot really take either side.
HH Emily: Lady Amparo, why would you say that you didn't agree with him?
HH Amparo: I didn't agree with the emperor because I became a citizen and settled in Transattera at first. You know Transattera is extremely anti- "Anything that isn't Atteran", and I guess I fell into following the "party line" of isolation. Plus, in isolation, you really don't have to deal with anyone that isn't Atteran in origin.
HH Emily: Ok, what other points in the speech were important?
HH Amparo: The mention of Artaxian's visit to Uantir. That was big, as we've all been waiting for some word about how things are going over there.
HH Emily: How do you feel about what's going on?
HH Amparo: A very big score for the Emperor, I'd say. This visit is just the first micronation that Artaxian is visiting and so far it's a very good start. Actually, it may be one of the first ones I visit.
HH Emily: I think you're right on the money about that as well, but there are people who are saying that it is a ploy to help manipulate the population by the Emperor, into agreeing with his viewpoint.
HH Amparo: That's way off base! I know that the Emperor isn't that dubious. He has his quirks though, but he doesn't work that way, and they should know it.
HH Emily: We have many people who have their own take on things, don't we?
HH Amparo: [Laughs] Do we ever! But, overall, I'm willing to give his way a chance, because it is a cautious approach and he did say that we will evaluate every step of the way. That's why I support our Emperor, he does think things through and does have our micronation's interests at the forefront of his mind.
HH Emily: He certainly does, that's for sure! Well, thank you Lady Amparo, and we will have to do this again!
HH Amparo: Anytime, Lady Emily, my pleasure!
